About

I begin to blog in July 2006. Due to various reasons (disturbances cause by idiotic intruders), my blog has been modified, deleted twice. So I decided to get my own domain at YuinYin.com in order to blog seriously without any interruption.

I’m a simple girl, viewing life at a simplier way. I’m a 5th year medical student studying in Russia. I chose medicine because I want to give life a second chance to live. I was diagnosed with stage III acinic cell carcinoma of the right parotid gland in June 2007. Parotidectomy of the deep lobe of right parotid gland was carried out and I’ve been through 2 months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Now, I am a proud survivor of cancer. Each and every experience that I share, I hope it can inspire someone else.

My Vision
I want to be mother of a million children. I love children and I want to protect them. I know I’m not God, I can’t possibly save everyone in the world but I’m trying my best. I want to help as many people as possible. I’m a nobody right now but I’ll start from earning a little from blogging and sponsor a child from Worldvision.

Love,
YuinYin.

Review by friend,

Cheng Yuin Yin was born and raised in Subang Jaya, a developing town in a muslim-majority country called Malaysia. She went to school in SMK Subang Jaya, and is now pursuing a medical degree in Kursk, Russia.

In the rarest times Yuin Yin could be visibly seen around school, shyness and humility surrounded her like a cloak. The neat-fitting pinafore, barbiedoll fringe, and hair pulled into a ponytail gave her away as a timid mouse - one who likely spent all her days studying in a hole. As such, little was known about this Korean-Japanese-looking doll until recently.

Just when Malaysian students who were determined to wear labcoats for the rest of their profession, flocked to Russia in pursuit of affordable medical education, Yuin Yin followed suit with a heart in throat. Little did she know that everything there was to see will soon be described in horror and frustration. While the Russian public’s understanding in medical knowledge is admirable, the society’s lack of friendliness is nerve-wrecking. Infrastructure is chaotic.

Yet God’s calling that burns wild in her heart cannot be put off easily. Her love for children and aspiration to provide for the poor and needy keeps her going in spite of continuous setbacks. This blog serves as her window to the world. God-willing, may this blog lead her to achieving her dream of a God-serving career in Paediatrics.
