Kursk is a really really boring big kampung with a lot of empty lands which used to be battlefields and then till today still a lot of it left undeveloped. Only a small piece of land in the middle which suppose to be a city or town is much more developed with universities, colleges, hospitals blah blah blah. And we don’t have any entertaiment here. So when we are bored, down, happy, guilty… we can only eat. EAT, eat, eat. I must admit that the Italian food from the little italian cafe down the road from our hostel can beat La Risata and Italiannese. Well, every place got something good and bad right? =) Luckily in this miserable place, we still have good italian food.

It’s Teo’s birthday so we went there for lunch. And since I came back, I went there few times alone. It’s quiet there, I could concentrate more in studying ENT without being distracted by my bed and my blog. Lol. And see those 3 juniors there…. they are fricking rich bcos I can see the waitress keep sending dishes to them. They ordered salmon steak, beef steak, pasta, pizza… errh almost everything from salad to appetizer to main course?

Well, that’s not the point. It’s saturday. So we should once in a while relax, enjoy ourselves, hang out with friends and catch up with everybody. It’s a birthday celebration anyway. ehehe.

Chicken Fetucinni (not sure how to spell, no time to look in dictionary yet), the cheapest pasta and a value for money. =D Order this plate, is full enough for your tummy, can last till supper time also no need to eat. Nah, this is baru the real fetucinni ma, thick thick fat fat wan… those fetucinni in italiannese so small like wantan mee wan… where got syiok to eat.

Oh this is the black dunno dunno wat. ahaha sorry my russian is bad. I couldn’t translate the name of this pasta. And they say the noodle is dyed by squid ink. Squid ink???? can eat wan meh? won’t die meh? But wth… this pasta is fantastic!~ Eat liao only think about the consequences la hor….

This is telyatina chicken pasta. The color looks weird so I haven’t try it myself but seems like a lot of my friends like to order this lately. Maybe i shall try it myself the next time.

Aaahhh… the classical salmon pasta. They used to served this with 3 huge salmon fillet but then now due to inflation, they reduced the amount of salmon and replaced it wih a lot of minute prawns instead. Damn… I regretted not eating enough of this pasta last semester while it still contained a lot of salmon!

Wah… I love this too. Seafood pasta. Bcos… bcos hor the fetucinni is super fat. I just love the way it feels when it’s in the mouth. But now for temporarily mum dun let me take seafood. So I can only watch them eat. ehehe.

hmmm…. lastly, the moment everyone waiting for…. DESERT time!!!! Tiramisu with a cute decoration with missing spoon and fork there. Very creative. No wonder it took so long for the desert to arrive. This tiramisu is way much better than the one in La Risata. Thumbs up!

Apple strudels, prepared in the russian way I think. Every russian restaurant I went here make the apple strudels like this or probably I haven’t seen how it was served in other countries yet. Once again due to inflation… look the ice-cream also seems so minute.

Jeng, jeng, jeng… everyone feels very excited waiting for this desert. Don’t know what it is called but surely it’s a burning pear! Look! The blue flame! Oh I think they pour vokda on it then light it up with lighter. =D I wonder what will happen if I stuck 2 fingers there.

Oh oh…. it’s Teo’s birthday. I almost forgotten. Here is the birthday boy with his pear ahaha. There’s some dark choloate with sour cream or some sort of thing like that in there, to be eaten with the pear of course. Colley feels very excited with the pear as well that she got some silly idea of burning the pear in her room. Let’s hope that she doesn’t burn down the hostel while burning the pear. Lol. =P

The best way to find out whether a patient’s appetite has recovered is to drag invite them for lunch at a nice comfy restaurant with food of different flavour and taste.

Jeng jeng jeng…. I went to Dorae with Tremayne and Yvonne for lunch yesterday. It was indeed a very nice experience. Dorae’s food did not disappoint my tastebuds.

As starter, they serve you a bowl of warm seaweed soup. I must admit that this soup taste better than the one Itik cooked. =D

In the middle, there was the pit stove for cooking the meat. Mini side dishes are arranged nicely around the stove. P/S: All side dishes are refillable =) and the side dishes will change everyday. I like the taugeh, taste so good.

There, we ordered this lean pork with sesame sauce. The waiter there will do the cooking for us and teach us how to eat with the sauce and stuff like that so don’t so kepoh simply go flip flip the cooking meat.

Cooked!~ Hehehe looks so yummy. Andy and Belle should like this also.

If you got watch “gong” (princess hour) then you should know how to eat it. The meat (dipped in special sesame sauce), the bbq-ed garlic dipped in dorae chili sauce, some side dishes wrapped in “sang choy” (lettuce) then put it in your mouth! I eat very cho lou, so no pictures of me eating like an elephant pls.

If you go during daytime, you can order set lunch at rm14 each. This is what I ordered, korean sushi set lunch. I think it taste really good but the serving portion a bit too big for me and since da bf is not here, no bandaraya help me finish so I got no choice but to stuff it to Yvonne and Tremayne.

This is fried pork cutlet set lunch. To me, I think it doesn’t taste as nice as the sushi wan.

This is what Tremayne ordered, fried beef in special dorae sauce. It looks yummy to me, but tremayne said Korean food is quite a taste for the tastebud, not everyone will like it.

If you ever want to go Korean restaurant hor, I would suggest you to bring a bigger group there because….. the food is too much, cannot finish la!!!! See how much we wasted. If *K is there, he will surely lecture me about “you know African kids die of starvation everyday and you lucky girl got food, want to waste…..blah blah blah”.

When we were in Form 2, tremayne was this thin and small size. 8 years later… he is still so thin and small! Even though I already lost 5kg of weight liao la… but sitting beside him taking pictures… why make me look so fat still? >_< Alamak, I’m so not gonna take picture with thin people anymore!!!

You are thinking of giving your lover a romantic suprise but don’t know what to do and where to go? Here I present you a nice cosy restaurant in KL, somewhere close to KLCC. My bf gave me a suprise for my be-earlier birthday celebration there. Romantic atmosphere, helpful waiters and delicious food at a reasonable price.

See KLCC located behind this restaurant…. and this restaurant is near that new mall called Avennue K issit? (sorry mates, I have been sick for 3 months and stay at home only so don’t know anything about new shopping centres around)

Upon entering the restaurant, you will find that wow… you’re amazed with this place. The receptionist counter is just on the right side. Receptionist runaways when I want to snap the picture ehehe.

The waiting hall. You will be sitted here, the waiter will serve you and jot down your order. Wait here for some minutes with some kacang to bite on while they prepare the dining table for you when the food are almost ready to be served.

Grilled salmon fillet for me. Very delicious! I finally understand why they encourage cancer patient to eat more fish. Really lor, because my tastebuds haven’t recover yet, I couldn’t taste anything at all. Coffee taste sour to me, cakes taste bitter. But thank God, I still can taste the freshness and sweetness of fish! Yea, I keep wanting to eat Unagi (eel)sushi because that’s the only sweet stuff I could taste. And salmon too! You won’t realise how important these little things to you unless you lose something that normally you take for granted. A life without being able to enjoy food is worthless.

Rib eye for da man. Looks so yummy yummy. When I recover fully, I must come here eat again but I will order STEAK not fish anymore! Lol.

Making a birthday wish. Hehe birthday on Bombay Alaska! The name sounds cool for this dessert.

They suppose to pour Brandy on it and flame it up but we didn’t do it on mine because cancer patient cannot take alcohol. Make sure you flame yours to amazed your gf yea! I could taste anything from this but *K keep telling me it’s very sweet. One day when I’m able to taste again, I will taste my Bombay Alaska properly.

(Psssttt, my birthday is on 1st Oct, who wanna celebrate with me? Don’t have to buy me presents, just wanna spend quality time with you and a nice dinner or lunch together ^^)

Did you realise in all the pcitures I took, there’s no one there? Not a single person except for the staff (they camera shy so hides away from me =D). According to da bf, he booked the whole restaurant just for me wor… but I don’t believe him la cos he where got so rich to do so. Probably because we went on Monday, weekday lesser people mah. When we almost leaving, got a few human being come liao. (So I know da bf not rich enuff to book the whole restaurant for me! =P)

My opinion: Highly recommended. So far this is one of the best restaurant I ever been to this summer. I thought nice restaurant with such beautiful decoration and delicious food can only be found in Prague, Czech Republic (I’m a frequent backpacker traveller to Europe =P). But this is a good one in Malaysia.
