Ooooo busy busy busy and tired. Start tagging in O&G department yesterday. Have to work from 6.30am till 12 midnite daily for 2 weeks until I could pick up and work alone with patients. I have to deliver 10 babies, do 10 episiotomy, assist in 5 C-sections, do vaginal examination countless time within this 2 weeks. Before I step into the O&G ward, I feel a bit scared after hearing so many stories from other seniors. But suprisingly, I feel happy working here. Seeing each child born to this world makes me happy.
This is the 1st newborn I help to deliver today. =)
He’s so cute. I took this tiny one to a separate room for cleaning up from the labor room and he opened his eyes and he start sucking his fingers.
There is a chinese young lady with twin pregnancy. She delivered a pair of unidentical twin – 1 boy and 1 girl. Don’t know why I feel so excited for her. You know I always wanted a pair of twin a boy and a girl. Aaahh.. I feel so envious of her. Baby boy looks so macho, with a lot of hair and he got double eyelids. Baby girl more tiny, with single eyelids like mine. But they both are so beautiful. 10 hours of labor pain is worth it when you see your children smile to you.
Oooh do u know I can withdraw blood so pro now lol. So who wanna do blood test, ask me to take blood for you!

Delivered a 4KG baby today when specialist specifically ask for an MO to do it instead, hihi. Patient got previous scar due to fetal macrosomia… MO was postcall and went to mandi for a while after assessing patient when suddenly big baby’s head coming out readi from the mama’s vagina. Luckily all was ok; MO came just to suture a small 1st degree tear..couldn’t gut in time cos baby’s head came out so quickly. Gravida 6 mommy…

One thing I like about O&G is that usually we deal with the healthy babies. When I was in NICU posting, dealing with sick babies on daily basis kinda hardened your heart a bit cos cant afford to feel kesian for them every single day when you had to be the one poking them every now and then for CBG or serum bilirubin or routine bloods…huhu.
