Now even petrol is more expensive than my meals.
Wah lau eh… following the increasing of oil price in russia sebanyak 30%… now even petrol in Malaysia also naik harga to rm2.70/litre! See the news http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/6/4/nation/20080604175025&sec=nation.
Haih… I already cut down budget eat steam fish, steam vege, steam this, steam that to save money no need to buy oil. Now petrol pun naik harga, electric naik harga, even rice also naik harga. My dad’s burden became heavier ler. I still need money to study post grad… aih… if last last no choice I think I have to find a good hubby, kahwin and become a happy housewife and switch to full time blogger to earn money from PPP as my full time profession, errhh working as part time doctor kua.
Every year air ticket price from KL to Moscow increased by rm500 until the current price RM4000. If petrol price increase again means the next time I fly back to Russia, it will cost me RM4500!!! Oh my… now who say study medic in Russia veli cheap? Study 6 yrs medic, every year air ticket naik rm500 can mati lor. Luckily my final year here already and I bought my air ticket for next semester already. Hiak hiak hiak!
So everything naik, when is government gonna naik gaji doctor??? RM3000 monthly is not enough to pump petrol ler… plus if ministry of health send you do housemanship at a far far away punya hospital, let’s say in Kelantan. No wonder nowadays we have severe shortage of doctors in GH bcos after they get MD, they go join politics lor… earn money quicker ma.

still cannot sleep ah? come come to mistiland where horror night tales prevail.

aih!…everyone is feeling the pinch…
whyyy!! whyy!!!!
go ppp!…lets write paid posts!
I do not think that salary increment for doctors in M’sia is the urgent need now. Rather, removing racial politics, allow fair trade and open tender among drug companies. So that good doctors may have the chance to be promoted, bad doctors eliminated due to their inability to gain the public’s trust. I believe the good doctors are leaving Malaysia not because of money, it is the lack of opportunity. They need to feel appreciated. And the government should appreciate them by giving them equal opportunities to serve and advance their careers/ The money will come later.
Petrol price increase is a global issue due to the lack of resources. Even if doctors’ salary increases, it will not solve the oil crises. We have to think of ways to reduce oil dependency. Eating steamed food is not that bad. I eat steamed food all the time. We must change our lifestyle.
The oil crises will affect the transportation of food from place to place, which make food prices rise. Companies might downsize to cope and this puts people out of jobs. Other industries will be affected too. The transportation of medical equipments need petrol. So does making food for patients. So you see, affecting doctor’s salary is the least of our concerns because it involves the patients’ lives. Try looking at the macro level
mistipurple: I think I saw dead people… and I heard…. eeeekkkk >.< *nightmares. Kenot sleep la!!! Hidup so susah lor. Poor and sleepless.
Gymz: Life become tougher. Family need to eat, need to send kids to school, need to pay bills. But still no raise in salary! =( Haih
PinkCotton: no choice have to surrender to PPP soon lor or else have to ikat perut. But actually not a bad thing to do, can lose weight wor
Yvonne: I know, I understand the current situation in our country now. It has been like that for ages and nothing much can be done about it unless we change our government and it won’t happen overnight. And if you do not know, they have a youth umno association for the malay students here in russia and some of these students are not even qualified to be a doctor with their level of knowledge. Most of them just want to get the MD and go back join politics. So do u think being appreciated matters to them? Other races have no choice that’s why they have to go oversea do their master degree and establish their reputation first before going back to malaysia or else the people in the hospital dun give a damn about us. Did you see how prejudice they are? Though I thought all the doctors should team up and work together to save lives but they discriminate here and there. Unless you have a better qualification or else you won’t have a place to stand and no one will listen to you. And postgraduate studies are not cheap. My father have to support the whole family himself. I’ll be going for my master degree stimultaneously with my sister ler and I’m trying to save as much as I could because my father’s burden is big enough now. I don’t want to add more on his shoulder. It’s not about eating steamed food or not, it’s about how food prices also becoming more expensive and eventually I have to reduce my expenses here and there, including not buying oil. Now the output is more than input. The same amount of money that I spent currently and few months back, the amount of items and food I bought become halves. With the soaring prices in everything, if there is no raise in salary generally in all the fields, life of every citizen become more difficult, especially those that come from lower socioeconomic family. Sigh…. in conclusion, life bcome tougher and more diffcult for everyone.
wah… summore wanna go post grad and be specialist… it will be a long time before u can make good money. but when u make it… u can make fantastic moolah and then u can afford petrol la.
students’ life is always hard. lucky my relative got scholarship to france. bonded many years though.
Ya you’re right YY. The increasing of oil price makes my family member difficult in our daily expenses. My bro last time monthly oil prices around RM900+ has raise 1000++ Once oil price increase everything will increase too. Me & my family work hard from 9-9, we 1 month off twice only. Because we gotta cope with m’sia expensive lifestyle and now oil price increase again. Rumour said this coming august will raise again.
lets hope for abolish of tolls that feeds amnos. and those not necessary at all taxtation over STUPID stuff.
nyway…

Nyek nyek…No more budget for strawberries liau. He he…
Yuin Yin: It sounds like you are getting emotional over the doctor salary and unequal opportunities. Try not to.
I would prefer to look at the oil crises in itself and not confuse it with other things for now. It is a global issue. Rice shortages is one issue. Inflation of currency is another. Doctor salary is also another. If you have the time, I can forward you some articles written by a neighbor explaining it. The government might have made us believe that inflation is related to all sort of things, but it really isn’t.
zewt: wah but the petrol money can use to buy a lot of food and medicine for poor children at rural area ler.
mistipurple: Bonded for 10 yrs!! Life even susah for them. Lol…
