Lake Garda - almost like heaven.

I’ve always longed for a tranquil, quiet place. Somewhere close to nature; the sun, the mountain, the sea and away from people.

.
I thought this kind of place will only exist in the movie or in dream. I never thought that I would find it in Italy. The Lake Garda (Largo di Garda) really amazed me. Ken’s friend stumbled upon this place accidentally last year and he recommended us to visit there. So here I am at Lake Garda……swimming playing with water. Hehehe… I’ll drown cos I forgotten how to swim. Almost 2 years didn’t go into swimming pool, I admit that I’m really really bad at sports =P.

Lake Garda is the biggest lake in Italy, 9th largest lake in Europe. It’s size is equals to 50,000 football pitch. The water is crystal clear, blue and clean and the current on the water surface makes it looks like the sea. The beauty of Lake Garda is unable to be describe by words. It is just so beautiful. Even guys also more handsome there. (I stayed in href=”http://www.casabarca.com”>Hotel Casa Barca and the owner very lengchai and tall ler. He looks like Dr. House a bit.)

Water sports and sun bathing are popular here. You have no idea how many boobies I saw that day. Don’t want to elaborate more, use ur imagination. =P

The Lake is surrounded by tall mountains and small towns. One of the most famous mountains there is Mt. Baldo in the town of Macelsine. Check here for the list of towns around Lake Garda.

We took cable car up to the peak of Mt. Baldo, which is 1700m above sea level (or lake level?). It is so cool to be on top of a mountain. I feel so close to the sky and I could almost catch the clouds at this height. But the experience when coming down the mountain scares the hell outta me.

view-of-lake-garda-from-mttop.JPG
.
Yea, almost because we can’t catch the clouds as you know clouds are not solid, could only feel the cool breeze when the clouds passed through my body. It feels so nice and refreshing. For the first time, I touched a cloud indirectly. Lol.

The sun is so close to earth and that’s why I’m so tanned now! =(… Shit… now my legs and arms got 2 tones.

Even me photos taken on top of mountain looks prettier. =P

Hiking, mountain biking, paragliding are popular activites here during summer.

When I stand here, it makes me wanna sing “The sound of music”.
….the hills are alive… at the sound of music…. haaaaa…. haaaa…..

Oh there were moo moo cows there too. Wah, like Fern leaf milk ads, 母牛喝清洁的水,吃新鲜的草 will produce good milk.

Humans are amazing creature. I wonder how did they climb up to such a high place and live there.

I super duper love Lake Garda. It is the best place in Italy. Forget about Rome, the transport system there sucks. Venice is too boring and Gondola ride cut throat. Milan is to tipu stupid rich people, the price for LV, Gucci, Burberry is like so much more expensive than other cities.

Verona - Romeo et Giulietta

But soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, Juliet is the sun!
……………………………………………..
It is my lady; O it is my love!

-Shakespeare, “Romeo and Juliet”, Act II, Scene II.

Ciao! Blogging from Verona! Verona is a small town (somewhat like Melaka), about 2 hours by train from Venice. I paid 10 euro for 126 mins of internet use ler. So expensive, so gotta blog fast. Sorry for not replying on msn. Got to race against time to update my blog =D. But things in Verona is much more cheaper than other cities in Italy. Buy one Verona pass for 8 euros, you can take any buses and enter all the tourist attraction for free.

The Arena is the world’s third-largest amphitheatre to survive from antiquity. It was built in the 1st Century AD, survived an earthquake in 1117 and still functioning today offering performances and opera. There was a performance today for 24 euros each ticket… but I too poor, cash running low so I miss it.

arena-exterior.JPG
.
This arena is smaller and doesn’t look as grand as the colosseum in Rome but the good thing about it is that it is still functioning.

arena_interior.JPG
They modified the interior, added chairs and a stage to it.

Evening view of Arena from Piazza Bra.

This is a familiar shop everywhere in Italy, even a small town like Verona.

lv.JPG
.
Italians are very rich la. We only got one LV shop in KL, want to find second one in other city also susah.

From piazza bra, walking past the high street shopping district, you will see a wall filled with conteng conteng. This is Juliet’s house. So kesian, kena vandalised until like dat.

juliet-house.JPG
.
Why those angmoh so crazy wan? Conteng until like dat…. got no more space for me to conteng liao lor. Haih… I wanted to write love message to Wu Chun =(.

grafitti.JPG
.
Graffitis + Italians = crazy. Even the buses, trains also got graffitti on it.

at-juliets-balcony.JPG
This is the famous balcony where Romeo sings to Juliet.
=D I also want to wait for my Romeo to sing to me.

Do you notice that Juliet’s right breast very shiny? Don’t know why everyone that come here will grope her boobs and take a picture with this statue. So kesian, die liao also kena molest.

juliet-statue.JPG
Hehehe… but I also joined the crowd. =P Who knows after touching her boobs I’ll become prettier. I’m trying my best to grope both sides lor but I’m too short, and arms too short.

Not far away there is a clock tower. This clock tower damn cool, you can take the lift that bring you up to the tower directly.

view-from-clock-tower.JPG
This is the view from the clock tower. Wow, didn’t expect that there were so many houses around the city because Verona is a serene small town, don’t see many people walking around also except tourists.

I think I gained weight. Italian food and gelato is making me fat. Lol. But I must admit that it taste so gooooood!

In the middle of Piazza Bra, there is a fountain in front of the Arena. It looks so beautiful during the night time. Such a romantic place to paktor.

Ciao Bella! From Venice.

I’m in Venice now.

gondola.JPG
.

Rome trip was quite disappointing. Metro services end very early at 10pm so we don’t have enough time to take pictures in the city during the night and Camping Tiber sucks, dun ever go stay there. And Ola! Rome is slightly worse than Russia. People there are rude and lansi except for those in McDs and LV shop. As long as you got $$$$$$ Italian will smile at you with sparkling teeth. So the moral of the story is, don’t come to Italy if you dun have money. Everything here is about money. Transport is expensive, food and drinks as well even the hotel! *sweat. I’ll upload pictures and blog about Rome later if I could access to free internet in Verona later.

boy-and-pigeons.JPG
.
Popjammerz ask where were the pigeons in Prague? Lol. Sadly, I been to Prague twice but I only saw swans there but not pigeons. St. Marco’s square in Venice is full of pigeons and seagulls. The baby boy up there in the picture was so happy playing with the pigeons. *hint bring along Mr.Potato chips to attract pigeons =P

sunset-in-venice-2.JPG

Very difficult to get internet services here bcos everything is expensive in Italy. Internet was free in Prague, Amsterdam, Germany. I hope I could get free internet from Verona. I’m going to Verona, the famous love place of Romeo and Juliet.

Got to go now. Credit for internet finished….
Tut… tut… tut…. tut….

Shut Down.

Summer 2008 : From Prague with love.

Paris is the city of love (of the rich version), because you got everything expensive there: LV, Channel, Dior etc etc. And Prague is the city of love of the poor version. This is probably the cheapest city in Europe. And there, on the hill stood a beautiful castle for couples to paktor. I, myself love Prague a lot. It makes me feel like I’m back to those old old ancient times where the princesses and princes lived (neh like those old english movie, beautiful dresses, curly hair, handsome prince on white horse except dat my prince bukan hensem sangat… Lol).

Prague Castle

front-gate-prague-castle.JPG
This is the entrance to the Prague castle. It was Sunday morning when I went there, so like what you can see in the photo, a lot of tourists gathered there like a herd of cows wanting to take picture with the hensem guard at the guard house. Wah morning 10am ler… why these tourist wake up so early wan? Oh I was staying few metres away from the castle so I can walk there anytime in 3 mins. =D The castle is certainly my favourite place to make out hang out with someone.

yy-with-guard-prague-castle.JPG
Luckily I also didn’t lose to those chinamen and fat Russian babushka. I managed to squueze in and took a picture with the guard.

view-from-the-hill.JPG
The view from the hilltop is fabulous. Some more the houses design there looks like those in Caesar III game. So pretty. Damn… the king of Bohemia really know how to enjoy himself. Chinese emperor lived on a flat land, surrounded by high walls but he kept 3000 concubines in the palace lar.

prague-castle-compound.JPG
Inside the castle.

stvitus-side-view.JPG
This is the side view of St. Vitus cathedral. Does this looks familiar to you? Think…. think harder.

This is the place where the vampires live in the movie Van Hellsing lor!

stvitus-night-view.JPG
St. Vitus cathedral is located inside Prague castle. The castle open until 2am daily during summer. So anytime you suka can go for a walk in the castle or practice ur photography skill for night photos. This photoshot is the closest to the postcard photo that I can take. =D Not bad ler? Faster faster praise me a bit. Hehehehe. *perasan.

Lorreta

Before going up to the castle, there is a long stairs on the left side leading to another tourist attraction spot, the Lorreta. Nothing much to see inside the Lorreta. Only pictures of Saint. St.Ludmila, St. Magarita etc etc.

Charles Bridge

There are 2 towers at each end of the bridge and you can climb up the tower to look at the beautiful view of the city. Need to pay rm10 to enter the tower lor but it is worth for that beautiful scenery.

going-up-charles-bridge-tower.JPG
After I entered the stony building, all I remember is turning round and round climbing up the flight of stairs to reach the tower. Pening kepala.

charles-bridge-night-view-from-tower.JPG
Looking down from the tower, view of Charles bridge and the St. Nicholas cathedral.

You know there is this myth saying that if you touch all the 13 pairs of statue on the Charles bridge, your dream will come true. But arrrrggghhh…. they renovating are the bridge now,I didn’t manage to touch all the statues =(.

Ok. Next destination. ROME. C u guys. Gonna catch the flight in 10 hours time. Ciao.

Prague, the city of fairytale. Czech it out!

Hey, I’m in Prague already. This is my 2nd time here. I love this place very much. Feel like I’m living inside a fairytale. Horse carriage, stony road, little lane and colorful houses. Castles, candies, pinocchio.

street-in-prague.JPG
.
I’ve walked non-stop for more than 12 hours today and took a lot of beautiful photos. Gonna upload and blog about it soon! My legs are tired, I need to go catch some sleep now.
