Would you choose to…..

…. live a short but meaningful life with exciting experiences, full of happiness and suprises…..

or would you want to…..

…..live a long but dull boring life with no excitement, tied to daily routine, work till you die…..

Which one will you choose?
For me, I think I will choose option 1. Life, we can only live once. Doesn’t matter how long I have to live but I want to live a meaningful life, contribute something to the world…. and die SMILING =)!

Life is a process of self-actualization, for the soul’s progress and maturity. That said, it is not about enjoying life, but to make full use of it in contributing to the world and mankind. In history, all positive change is achieved through trails and tribulations. From the liberation of slaves in North America to Ghandi’s silent war, all the great people we have come to admire for their meaningful lives faced persecution and hardship. In the end, their strife for liberation benefit those who survive them for generations and generations.

Baha’u'llah said, “O SON OF MAN!
Should prosperity befall thee, rejoice not, and should abasement come upon thee, grieve not, for both shall pass away and be no more.”

When we are overjoyed by prosperity and peace, we become comfortable with our position and make less progress. In the contrary, we should always seek to reach higher and grow spiritually. And growth, as I have said, does not come easy.

It’s important to avoid complacence.

What I want to do must be completed before I leave the world. Achieving it will be a meaningful thing. I don’t know the time it takes will be long or short, I just want to make sure that I achieve it!

Yea, apparently mankind have forgotten how to live properly. I realise nowadays ppl just work their life out day and nite. In the end, when they have a lot of money, what do they get? Happily buy LV handbags, ferarri sport car? but they have lost the time for their children, lose friendship. I think, life should live it meaningfully, achieve our dreams, help people around us.

I’ll probably choose option2.
I think I would have this hopeful feeling that something interesting may come by. And the more time I have, the bigger the hope!
To me, its not so much about experiencing a meaningful life, but rather hoping for a meaningful life.
